subsidy for renovations of dwellings

The Comunidad Valenciana grants up to 4.200 euros in subsidies for housing renovations

VALENCIA - Following the "Plan Renhata" which was set up in 2017 and has proved a success, the Generalitat in the Comunidad Valenciana decided this year to grant the owners of houses subsidies for the renovation of houses. The amount of these subsidies depends on a points system and is between 3,000 and 4,200 euros.

The money that owners of homes can receive to help them financially should be spent on renovations that are necessary to improve the health of the inhabitants and to improve the quality of life, especially in those homes that are older than 20 years. The subsidy should therefore be used for the improvement of wet rooms such as bathrooms and kitchens or for the adaptation of dwellings in the case of elderly and disabled people.

The Generalitat Valenciana has set aside an amount of 5.5 million euros for this extra subsidy for the "renovation of kitchens and bathrooms". That is an amount that is 50% higher this year than in the previous year in 2017 at Plan Renhata.

The amounts that can be received are a maximum of between 3,000 and 4,200 euros, which is a 25% or 35% of a quotation for a refurbishment. These quotations for the renovation may not be less than 2,000 euros and no more than 12,000 euros per conversion or adjustment. In addition, owners of housing this year can also use a 5% financing of the technical reports that need to be made.

A man buys his first house in Spain with bitcoins

For the first time in Spain, a man has bought a flat with bitcoins. It has happened this Wednesday in Tarragona. The man, an investor who decided to buy this digital currency with the money of an inheritance, has paid 40 bitcoins for an attic of the Imperial Plaza Tarraco valued at 550,000 euros.

The floor was sold by Mister Piso real estate agency. As explained by Cadena SER Gerard Platero, the director of the office in Tarragona, an investor went to visit them "and after seeing the floor, he proposed to buy it with bitcoins". According to Platero, the seller has not had any problem.

After the agreement, and through the system of purses used with bitcoins - a kind of checking account - buyer and seller have made the transaction in seconds. Now, explains Platero, "you just have to go to the notary to formalize the sale."

Lucky investment

The man would have decided to buy bitcoins with the money with the money of an inheritance when they had a cost of approximately 3,000 euros. Throughout this 2017, however, the price of the currency has increased exponentially to exceed the 14,000 euros currently.

Platero explains that, since the currency has a much lower commission than the rest, "everyone has won".
